Diane Downey is your NDP candidate for Oakville West.

Diane is a game developer and graduate of Sheridan College and St. Thomas University. Born in Belleville, Diane first moved to Oakville in 2016 and fell in love with the warm, small-town atmosphere.

As a multiply marginalized person, she works towards intersectionality and giving back to the community. She volunteers at Knox Presbyterian church school.

She is passionate about defending Canada from Trump’s tariffs and threats to our independence.

She believes that people in Oakville West deserve someone who will put them first — not corporations and not the ultra-wealthy.

She would fight to put working people first with federal funding for affordable homes, childcare, pharma care, healthcare, and dental care.

As your MP, she will fight for families, workers, and students in Oakville West, so everyone can have an affordable life in Canada.
