I promise to support policies that:
Protect workers and businesses during the Trump trade war by implementing wage subsidies and preferential loan programs for employers, funding infrastructure projects like high-speed rail to keep more Canadians employed and localize our economy, and reducing barriers to EI for workers who are laid off.
Lower day-to-day costs through price caps on essentials and GST cuts, stronger enforcement of the Competition Act to protect small businesses and stop companies from ripping-off Canadians, and building more affordable homes on unused government property.
Get Albertan products to market by reducing inter-provincial trade barriers, investing in Canadian manufacturing and finishing of made-in-Alberta products like our oil and gas, as well as increasing power grid capacity and renewable energy production in Canada that doesn't have to cross any borders.
Build more homes, faster by incentivizing the sale of unused, and underused properties and streamlining development with provincial and municipal partners.
Hire more doctors and nurses by making Canadian recertification easier.
Protect and expand universal healthcare so you don't have to pay out of pocket for the care you need.
Protect the right of elders to age in place with support by protecting their access to social programs, providing tax credits and incentives for seniors living together and with caregivers.
Crackdown on tax havens for the ultra wealthy, lower taxes for regular Canadians.
