Biography
J’ai 47 ans et je suis le papa de 2 belles grandes ados, Simone 15 ans et Antoinette 14 ans. Je suis né et j’ai grandi à Beauport. J’ai fait mes études au Cégep de Limoilou en géopolitique et à la Cité Collégiale à Ottawa où j’ai reçu mon diplôme en radiodiffusion en 2001. J’ai par la suite accumulé plus de 20 ans d’expérience dans les médias, à titre de journaliste, animateur et, plus récemment, à titre de chroniqueur web et réseaux sociaux à l’émission Salut Bonjour Weekend à Québec.
Mon père Jacques a été maire de Beauport pendant 17 ans puis chef de l’Opposition à la Ville de Québec. Je l’ai d’ailleurs accompagné lors de ses campagnes électorales dès mon plus jeune âge. Ma mère, Lise, est native de Limoilou : elle a grandi juste à côté du Patro Roc-Amadour et du Colisée de Québec. À la maison, la politique, le devoir de citoyen et l’actualité quotidienne faisaient partie des discussions autour de la table. Toute cette expérience, tirée de mon vécu familial, fait en sorte que je me retrouve maintenant à briguer les scrutins à mon tour, poussé par la conviction profonde d’un devoir à accomplir pour les citoyens de Beauport-Limoilou.
On m’a souvent demandé si j’allais faire le saut en politique un jour : ce désir, implanté par mon vécu et mon histoire familiale, a toujours été présent. Je souhaite maintenant devenir votre député dans la circonscription Beauport-Limoilou, un secteur que je connais, que j’ai envie de promouvoir, de protéger, de soutenir et, par-dessus tout, de servir.
